Scale Problems

I've been recently using ArChicad and i am having problems with my scale..Also the default scale in Archicad is at 1:100 and when I change it my dimensions become very small..what scale should I draw at in Archicad..thank you for your help...

older versions? - they didn't
you just drew orthogonal wrt building and moved north point
or
drew building orthogonal and then hot linked into site file...

The new orientation tool is great for rotating views so I can work on floor plans verticlly and horizontally but still keep the site plan so the building is true North BUT...

Some things such as section markers, electrical symbols with text orientate the text at the original angle (true north)

For presentation this looks slightly odd.

I'm not sure how earlier versions handled buildings at different angles to true north?
