yeah, sounds like your drive is CD only, not DVD.
use a computer with a DVD drive to copy the installer onto a USB Thumbdrive or over the network.

Problem finally solved after I reinstalled quicktime. Apparently the quicktime I had was corrupt possibly due to a corupt update. Not always the best thing to go for updates

 Hello everybody!
I'm sorry if the same question was already asked, i've tried to find it, but i couldn't find any topic with exactly the same issue.
I'm trying to install ArchiCAD 10 ( worked perfectly on Vista ) on Windows 7 Ultimate x86.
First, I install the Java provided with the ArchiCAD : " jre-1_5_0_06-windows-i586-p". Then, when trying to install archiCAD an error window appears : " java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : run
Exception in thread "main" "

If i desinstall this version of Java and install the lastest from the site : http://www.java.com/fr/download/windows_ie.jsp?locale=fr&host=www.java.com
I've got the same kind of error : " java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : run
Caused by :
.....
....
...

Help please!!!!
