It says that you normally need to do this when a Tech Support person asks you to do it.
In that case I suppose that you save the Support Package and then send it to the support person.

I am using the latest Catalyst driver (10.2), the latest Direct X and the latest Java.

I am positively sure that the problem is connected with the MX Revolution mouse because when I disconnect it, and plug in my PS2 mouse problems disappear.

I think this has something to do with the Logitech drivers (SetPoint).

I have contacted them too.

Please advice further.

Most of the time this is due to graphics card driver problems.
Try to update those drivers first.

 Hello guys,
I have this problem.
Usually this happens after spending time in the program and more commonly when ALT+TAB-ing alot. My drag and measure line disappear. I am talking about the ones that appear when you try to move an object and that are connecting the "before" and "after" position of this object. Also the "after" position doesn't show up too.
To better illustrate my problem I have included screen shots (they are taken with Windows XP, my system is Windows 7 now):

Drag:
1. Normal Drag
2. Buggy Drag

Measure Line:
1. Normal Measure
2. Buggy Measure

This only happens when using my Logitech MX Revolution mouse, after switching back to my old PS2 mouse everything is ok.
If anyone has an idea about this whole thing I will be very grateful.
All info on this topic will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

because you don't have a project open that requires that much RAM.
rendering is a CPU intensive task and will only use a little more RAM than normal ArchiCAD use.

basically, for the size of the model you are working on, you don't need all that RAM. however, Windows itself and other applications will be wanting the rest of the RAM, as would other instances of ArchiCAD. Also, as your model gets bigger and you add more views/layouts etc.. it will use more and more memory.

you might not be using it now, but you've got plenty of headroom to expand into.

Cool. Glad you found it. Not surprised it was Quicken-related. Intuit's software is the buggiest of any manufacturer I've dealt with. (Stay away from QuickBooks for Mac 2010 for now, for example.)

I did have ALL other applications closed ,but I turned on Activity Monitor and noticed that I have a hidden Process/Application running for Quicken called Quicken Scheduler that I forced quit and my keys immediately came back without even having to restart ArchiCAD. That was pure luck finding that one.

 Daniel -

I was able to get in touch w/ Graphisoft Tech. Support over the phone. They didn't have a direct solution, but suggested that the keys were not functioning due to another program running at the same time. Apparently, when multiple programs are running simultaneously, the different programs are given a 'priority' as to which shortcut keys work for each program. Though trial-and-error, by running archiCAD and opening all other programs individually, one at a time, I was able to determine (and I still cannot believe this) that the conflict was due to having Gmail open w/n a tab in Firefox. Crazy, I know. I now use Safari and happily both the 'shift' and 'option' keys within ArchiCAD without any trouble! Good Luck!
Daniel,

This issue seems rare enough that I wonder if you might not try (a) creating another account on your machine and seeing if Opt works there - suggesting that some login item is conflicting with 10.6.2 or (b) if that doesn't work, restart in Safe mode to disable all extensions and see what happens...

Pretty weird.

No utilities for keyboard. And, it was working fine at least before the recent hotfix. No, snap grid is not the problem either It is strange that both shift and option are absent. They both work for other shortcuts, just not the important directional constraint or the Pick up Attributes. Therefore, I fdon't think any other software is disabling the keys in anyway...
Even when trying to option click a wall to pick up attributes.

Shift Key will not constrain walls either.

Any help solving the problem would be very helpful! as it is pretty much useless to work without these keys functioning.

It is possible this started happening with the latest update.
I can't recall if I used archicad after the snow leopard update but before the last ArchiCAD hotfix.

Daniel, running SL since it's release without issue all versions of 13.
You wouldn't by chance have grid snap activated.
I have disabled S shortcut

I have been running 10.6.2 without problems since it was released. Do you have any keyboard utilities installed? I know that Steermouse has some problems with wireless mice, if you turn off your mouse AC will not be recognize pressing the wheel as pan. Also you might try unplugging your keyboard and replug it, my MacPro sometimes forgets that it has a keyboard attached.

Hello Im currently working in archicad 12 student version.
After having finished my curtain wall i cannot rotate the 3d view in perspective mode.
the strange thing is that in axonometry mode im still able to rotate the model.

Do you have any fix or workaround for this problem
