Welcome to the Online Graphics Card Compatibility Database for ArchiCAD!

In the video card database ArchiCAD users can document and search for other ArchiCAD users' experiences regarding the compatibility of specific OpenGL video cards and ArchiCAD.

Compatibility of a card is determined by ArchiCAD version in company with the video card driver. It is certainly possible that the same video card and driver may have different results amongst the ArchiCAD versions. Also keep in mind that the data presented in the database is based on users' experiences and may not necessarily prove or disprove a card’s compatibility with ArchiCAD. It could arise that certain external factors play a part in the problematic phenomena (for instance, the type of motherboard used). We suggest you regularly check test results in the database since video card vendors produce new drivers frequently.

To search the database:
1. Select your card type and card name.
2. Choose from the resulting list (if your card is not listed, please run the test and submit your results).
3. Click on More Details for the entry where the Driver/ArchiCAD versions correspond with that of yours.
4. Read the discussions and test results of other ArchiCAD users.
5. Give your experiences with the actual card by clicking on Comment.

To submit test results:
1. Download the test file from here:
     Zip archive (AC8 version - 0,87Mb), Zip archive (AC9 version - 0,88Mb), Zip archive (AC10 version - 6,65Mb),
     Zip archive (AC11 version - 22,26Mb), Zip archive (AC12 version - 29,30Mb)
2. Check if there is a matching card in the database.
3. If there is, give your results by clicking on Comment at the matching card.
4. If there is not, report your results >>here<<.

This list contains only cards for desktop computers and is based on cards submitted by card vendors. Since this list cannot be comprehensive we suggest you look for other information sources before purchasing your graphics card. Matrox DualHead2Go - Multi-display upgrade for existing graphics hardware

Matrox Graphics Inc. has introduced DualHead2Go. With Matrox's DualHead2Go equipment one can add multi-display capability to a laptop or desktop computer. This easy-to-setup external device connects to the monitor connector of a computer and adds support for an extra monitor. DualHead2Go uses Matrox patent-pending technology to divide the monitor output from the computer into 2 separate displays, one showing the left half of this "monitor" and the other showing the right half. Thus one can increase the monitor space to be used with ArchiCAD. Users should make sure that the graphics card that DualHead2Go will be connected to is able to produce a reliable display quality at those desired increased display resolutions and that the equipment can offer both 2D and 3D functionality. Normally with DualHead2Go ArchiCAD supports resolutions for the second output of up to 2048 x 768 (1024 x 768 for each external monitor).
