Is there any way to get a "plus or minus" symbol into a text string?
(Mac 10.3.1, G5, Archicad 8.1)

A Maccer will probably answer soon.
On the PC, it is ALT 0177, as says the Character Map. _________________ Djordje

On the Mac for most fonts: Opt/Shift/=
Key Caps will show all available symbols for a given font. _________________ Dave Jochum

Sorry... Key Caps is an application that is included with the OS that maps the available characters for various key combinations. Find it at APPLICATIONS/UTILITIES/KEY CAPS. _________________ Dave Jochum

In Panther, they removed Key Caps and put the functionality into 'Keyboard Viewer', which can accessed from the little flag on the menu bar once you:
Go System Preferences | International | Input Menu tab. Check 'Keyboard Viewer' and (at the bottom) 'Show input menu in menu bar'. _________________ James Murray

Don't forget the new character palette, also under the flag (international) menu. It shows all the possible characters in every font. It's very cool and I haven't seen anything quite like it before. _________________ Matthew Lohden
