hi all,

is there a way to set the "Choose trace" window so its does NOT open all hirarchies of for example the Layout Book each time you open the window?
Its tiring scrolling and finding the right plan - we have to change the trace a lot in current workflow

thanks for info!

BR, Florian

I usually select a trace from the: "Project Map", "View Map" or "Layout" in the "Navigator Palette".

Right click the view and scroll to "Show as trace reference".

If I'm switching between previously viewed trace references,
it's easier (for me) to use the pull down menu on the trace reference palette
(see attached).

EDIT:
I don't see the same dialogue for selecting trace references
in Mac OS, as you show in your screen shot.

It is the dialog box that appears when "Browse for Trace Reference..." is chosen (1st item in your screen shot).

Ahhh. Apparently I never use that Very Happy
It's about one click quicker to use Navigator Palette.

If it's about scrolling thru the list... there is a shortcut
to open/close all enclosed folders in Navigator Palette
(and the "Choose Trace" list in Florian's screen shot).
Alt/option key (on a mac) click the triangle (see attached)
and it will close the folder.
Click it again (without alt/op. key) and it will open it
but all the enclosed folders are closed.

Works to open every folder in root folders as well.

perfect thanks!

But why look so far afield when there is so much close at hand?
