Automatic back referencing can't be achieved
This is a total deal breaker. If you can't achieve automatic back-referencing then the software simply doesn't support BIM. Doing that stuff manually is insane. It's what computers are for.

When a thread like this is still totally relevant 4 years later (T__T) tragic

The problem arises whenever you want to have a live callout from the larger plan. Like, every time I need to document the amenities or kitchens. Especially if you want the dimensions pulled off.

Literally all I want to do is increase the scale, add some text notes and dimensions.

It absolutely needs to be a live representation of the model. I almost die when I try to nudge a sink or coathook over slightly in the detail and end up selecting a bunch of dumb lines > . <

Aaargh
Can we hope that this will be added in the next version??

I have been doing this for the last 20 years without details or worksheets.
All you need is an annotation layer for each scale.
Create a layer combination for each scale using the appropriate annotation layer as well as the main model layers (which are common for all scales).

If you need to you can create a layer combination for just the model (no annotation) and a combination for each annotation layer (scale) on its own.
Then create a plan view for each of these layer combinations.
Now you can place the model view and crop it for say individual room layouts.
Then overlay the annotation view over the top.
Repeat for each scale that you need.

I posted a detailed method for this here many years ago.
I will try to find it for you later and will post a link.

Great set of instructions and well illustrated. This is probably the best workaround in lieu of proper live callouts available from any view (ie. plans, sections, elevations)

Slight variation to this would also be possible by pinning your annotation to a custom renovation filter and saving views with this filter. No need for extra layers or layer combinations then.
