This would make so much sense to have. Off the top of my head, room light and vent calculations, site coverage and FAR, egress width required/ number of exits, room occupancy; all of these tedious calculations would become automatic. I would look for more, but I have to go export some schedules to Excel so that I can attach them after the math is done.

*sigh*

Expression-defined Properties are available in ARCHICAD:

You can then schedule these Properties. Additionally, the value of these Properties can be displayed in Labels, used in Find & Select criteria, Graphic Override criteria and Collision Detection criteria. So this solution is more comprehensive than having to ability to do calculations/work with formulas in Schedule cells.

The addition of formulas/expressions in Properties is welcome. But falls short when you need to calculate percentages or other formula-based calculations between scheduled elements. Plus the ability to have/add "dummy" cells in a schedule would be highly productive. FYI - Revit does all of this.

I remember when we used to be able to use OLE and paste an Excel spreadsheet into a Layout and interactively work in the spreadsheet in AC or Excel. It would be nice to get that functionality back.

Hi David, long time no see on the forum. :)
I would solve this by defining a new Property that would contain the percentage value, and by defining another Property that would multiply this percentage Property with the other Property. So the calculations would be done in the background, and you could display all 3 Properties involved in the Schedule.
Yes, the dummy cells would be nice. You can make a wish for it any time. If you do, please post its link here.

Yes, that was neat. I think it did not work on Mac though. This might be the reason why it was discontinued.
