Hi Since Archicad can divide an entire element in certain number of divisions ignoring nodes, why can't we distribute objects along entire elements? This is a feature really needed and it will imrove a lot the distribute command.

Thanks

Yes, but it does not distribute along entire elements, like a slab, only on one edge.

Special Distribute works inbetween nodes.

in snaping options though we can select snaping point on edges by half or divisions or percentage etc. this works either inbetween nodes or across entire element. Arcross entire element means inbetween ends of the entire selecton of elements that conected in line with each other. like a series of walls or lines or beams, polylines, splines etc. If you select a set of one of these types and you have the option across entire element and divsion half or whatever you like you will see that the divisions spread along the whole selection.

It works for closed polygons too.

Okay, then that's something different than I would have guessed from your initial post. "An entire element" still means a single element to me, not a group of selected elements.
