Is there a way to add a folder system the the surfaces. So say I want I a different glass then stock one I could click the glass folder and it would have the different options in the there. So instead of having 50 different surfaces to look through I can just open the fold and see just them. Have like a paint, glass, brick, etc. folders. Thanks

Creating new surfaces from library of presets works like this for me (they are sorted in folders like brick, glass, wood etc). After that I would suggest using a proper naming convention that makes looking up materials easier.

Erwin, are you talking about a folder structure in a custom library in order to add surfaces one by one, or are you suggesting that you are able to have a folder structure in the surfaces list when you go to choose one for an object.

If that's confusing, I'll elaborate:

Option 1:
To add a surface you go through a folder structure in your library and choose the surface to add

Option 2:
I create a wall and want to change the surface. When I look at the list of surfaces, I have a folder structure that organizes everything

Thanks Karl. To be fair, Laszlo created it, but I definitely encourage everyone to consider this situation. It's crazy to me that we are on AC22 and yet no one has ever thought about organizing anything into folder structures (possibly searchable) in this amazing software. Not just surfaces (though this is my main hangup at that moment), but how about building materials, complex profiles, fills, etc.
