Is there a way to make stacked fractions using the text tool?

Is this what you mean by a stacked fraction?

¼ ½ ¾

If so, only by using the alternate characters in your chosen font.
And you will probably be limited to just these 3 - some fonts may not have even these.

ALT+0188, ALT+0189, & ALT+0190 are the keyboard shortcuts (on a Windows machine at least).

Doesn't look as good as Barry's method,
but Superscript & Subscript?

Berry,

Yes the ones you have shown is how I would like my dimensions to display. The solutions you and Stress Co. have provided are okay, but I would mean that my dimensions would become custom texts. And, that would not be ideal when dynamic dimensions move and change.

Perhaps stacked text can be added to the wish list.

Turn on "Fractions in small type"
Project Preferences> Dimensions

Ah, but in your original post you mentioned stacked fractions "using the text tool".

I think Marc has you covered for the dimensions.
